A Night on Broadway

“A Night On Broadway” premiered on Friday, Jan. 27th, 2006 at the CAC Theater, and featured the stunning (and sometimes startling) talents of over 50 members of the CAC faculty and staff. This was the first CAC faculty show in over 8 years, and all the participating staff volunteered their expertise on and off the stage, as performers, singers, dancers, backstage crew, publicity and producers. The eighteen production numbers covered great moments from musicals over the past 80 years. Songs from “South Pacific,” “Peter Pan,” “Cabaret,” “The Music Man,” “Guys and Dolls,” “Grease,” and “West Side Story” were some of the highlights. Without a doubt, the men’s ballet, “I Feel Pretty,” danced by CAC’s own teachers and principals, was the hit of the evening!
The monies raised in this entertaining endeavor went toward the medical support of 4-year-old twin boys, Ahmed and Mohamed Ibrahim Gad, who live in Cairo, and have been undergoing extensive therapy after an operation to correct a severe birth defect. Thanks to all in the CAC community who participated in this event, whether on-stage, back-stage, or in the audience! It was great fun for all involved!
