Co-Curricular Programs

We believe that student involvement in co-curricular activities is a vital part of education and that participation in a well organized and diverse program of activities under the direction of qualified sponsors and advisors provides students with opportunities to learn critical lessons.

The Cairo American College activities program is designed to enhance and complement the academic program and our students are encouraged to achieve a manageable balance of co-curricular and academics.

With the goal of providing an opportunity for as many students as possible, choices in the High School range from Musicals to the Astronomy Club and from Model United Nations (MUN) to Student Government. In the Elementary School, students have a Varity of after-school activities by choice and this year, the Middle school has introduced a “no-cuts” athletic program.

Cairo American College participates in two major MUN conferences outside of Egypt as well as hosting our own each year. We are also members of the Eastern Mediterranean Athletic/Activities Conference (EMAC), International Schools Theater Association (ISTA), and the Association for Music in International Schools (AMIS), all of which provide festivals and tournaments outside of Egypt at which our students participate and compete.

It is our hope that by setting out to explore new possibilities students will develop or enhance their interpersonal and organizational skills, they will be provided with life skills they will carry with them long after their days at Cairo
